Kind of obnoxious, but not in a good way
Very loud, very high pitch, piezo-ey sound. Not a beep as much as a screech. Maybe good for a remote alarm, but for a panel indicator or an application near the user, youll just want to rip this thing out of the wall to shut it up. The excellent MPJA copywriter described this in a weekly promo as a Dr. Strangelove, Oh-No The-Reactor-Core-is Overheating! alert. But this thing is so dang annoying, I think Id have just let the reactor melt down to stop the noise.

Great Alarm Light+Sounder w Small Description Error
I ordered these items for use in a production machine as an alarm where they work exceedingly well. NOTE: These units are marked to operated with AC/DC 24V, so 12v operation - while minimally functional - will be less than optimal. For my purposes, however, they are ideal; not too harsh but impossible to ignore.

Does its job | ||
I use this for alarm on a bilge high water system. This product is intended for metal or plastic panels as the depth of mounting threads is too short for a wood panel mount, as on a boat. Wrap something around it and jam in in the hole is the only option. Louder would be better, also, because on a boat you may be on deck or out of sight and need to hear the alarm. When docked and with hatches closed, it is not loud enough to attract attention of passersby. As far as looks go, it fits in well with other instruments and lights.
